How the autopilot steers

The Accu-Steer HRP pump is plumbed into the hydraulic steering lines. When the ST8001 commands a course change, the reversing pump pushes fluid one way or the other through the steering cylinder; its flow rate sets how fast the rudders move. Whisper-quiet gerotor gears and a built-in relief valve protect the system.
